Nanoprom Chemicals is proud to be one of the companies participating in the GIANCE project, a revolutionary initiative funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe. Our efforts focus on the development and commercialization of new advanced materials, particularly those based on graphene.
The GIANCE project, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe program, is dedicated to the development of advanced and sustainable materials based on graphene and related substances (GRM). These materials, including multifunctional composites, coatings, foams and membranes, are designed to be lightweight, recyclable and environmentally friendly. The project aims not only to improve the thermal, mechanical and chemical properties of these materials, but also to optimize wear, corrosion, fire and impact resistances, contributing significantly to production efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
GIANCE aims to demonstrate and validate the effectiveness of GRM-enabled products through 11 use cases, influencing future technologies in various sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy (hydrogen economy) and water treatment. A key element of the project is the integration of life cycle assessment (LCA), life cycle costing (LCC) and end-of-life considerations (EOL) strategies, which support the realization of a robust circular economy.
The project consortium includes 23 partners from 10 countries, covering the entire value chain, and includes original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), large industries, leading research organizations and innovative SMEs. With these collaborations, GIANCE aims to strengthen European economic competitiveness by promoting innovation and contributing to the governance and coordination of the Graphene Flagship initiative
