A suitable solution for present and future challenges, with guaranteed efficacy attested by laboratory results, according to ISO 22196:2011 and ISO 21702:2019 standards.
BV-Stop is a water-based product that can be easily applied to surfaces of all types and sizes.
Several products and solutions have been available on the market that can counteract the proliferation of viruses and bacteria by implementing disinfection systems with chemicals and/or materials with antibacterial properties. Both of these solutions, however, present some problems, both technical and environmental impact.
Disinfection with chemicals has the following critical issues:
The emergence and proliferation of bacterial communities occurs on all types of surfaces and wet environments, creating microbial biofilms.
Regular cleaning does not prevent the proliferation of health-damaging microorganisms, which continue to proliferate between cleanings, increasing the risk of cross-contamination.

Laboratory results demonstrated the effectiveness of the BV-Stop coating’s antiviral activity against the SARS-CoV-2_COV2019 viral strain responsible for the current Covid-19 pandemic.
The results, according to ISO 21702:2019, are impressive:
After a 2-hour contact period, there was a 99.88% reduction;
After 6 hours, the reduction was 99.97% compared to surfaces not protected with BV-Stop.
The antibacterial properties of BV-Stop show that on escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus, there was an excellent 99.99% reduction in bacterial load after 24 hours.
In addition to being effective, BV-Stop is also safe: cytotoxicity tests conducted several times according to ISO10993-5:2009 standard confirmed that the product is not cytotoxic and, therefore, also safe to use on surfaces in contact with people.
In addition, the size of the polymers and particles involved in the coating are not such that the product falls within the scope of nanomaterials.
A special feature also allows you to check where the coating is applied. Illuminating the treated surfaces with UV light reveals the presence and proper application of the coating.
The coating can also be applied to textile surfaces, making clothing or protective equipment safe from contamination by viruses and bacteria.
In the photo, it can be seen that the treated surfaces can be easily verified, with UV illumination, against the untreated ones.
